Sketching workshops

everyone can sketch

Come find your creative voice and explore Zurich…one sketch at a time!

I guide you through everything you need to know to let go of perfectionism so you can loosen up, laugh, and make tons of delightful drawings.

Make art work

not works of art

Sketching isn’t about creating fine art. It isn’t about following all the rules.

It’s about expressing your experience of a place or a moment.

It’s about feeling at home, no matter where you are.

It’s about learning to see the world like an artist.

It’s playing.

Meaningful, Mindful, & fun

I’ll show you how to build a daily drawing habit that’s an antidote to anxiety, digital distraction, and feeling frazzled.

Before you know it, you’ll be looking for interesting places and events to sketch.

It can be a bit addictive. But in a good way. 😃

And you’ll meet a fun group of people ready to cheer you on!

Because once you start sketching, you’ll find sketchers everywhere you go.

Ready to Draw Something delightful?

Barb convinced me that anyone can draw and paint…even me! It just takes practice. She helped me build confidence and taught me that my sketch doesn’t have to be perfect! Now I sketch nearly every day and it’s introduced me to so many great people!
 – Joanne Pitzel

Barbara introduced me to fun, daily urban sketching over 6 years ago and I’m still hooked. Her enthusiasm and generosity in sharing materials, techniques, and creative knowledge were inspirational. ‘Focus on quantity and the quality will take care of itself’, Barbara stressed and she was right. – Anne Wilkinson
