Watercolour Painting for Beginners
Saturday, August 19 at 9:00 - 12:30 and Sunday, August 20 at 9:00 - 12:30
If you’re new to painting with watercolour - this is the class for you! Learn all you need to know to start painting whimsical watercolour illustrations in a weekend. Each day, we’ll meet in a small group of five students for a fun 3.5-hour class to learn the basics PLUS creative ways to express yourself with watercolour!
What you’ll do:
experiment with different watercolour techniques
learn about value and contrast
play with colour and learn basic colour theory
combine watercolor with other media
build your skills with simple but fun exercises anyone can do.
What you’ll take away:
a sketchbook full of playful exercises and whimsical illustrations
a bookmark painted with a simple floral
postcards with your paintings to send or frame
exercises and ideas you can try with friends and family anytime and anywhere
All materials are provided and included in the class fee.
You’ll also receive a kit that you can take home to practice between classes.
😊 After the class, I’ll provide a recommended materials list so you know exactly what you need and where to get it —to keep painting!
If you miss one of the classes, there will be one extra day available for anyone who missed a class at the end of the 6 weeks.
Full refund available up to 5 days before class starts. Afterwards, if life throws you lemons, we’ll work something out - I can book you in another class(es) or offer a 50% refund.
